- Investigation of the structure of condensed matter and amorphous systems by nuclear methods; microstructure of interstitial alloys; absorption and desorption of hydrogen in rare earth compounds and alloys; magnetic and crystal structure of lanthanum compounds
- Investigation of the structure of condensed matter by the neutron diffraction and neutron depolarization methods and by small angle scattering on neutrons; gamma-radiation modification of the structure and properties of substance texture, studies of polycrystalline materials development and application of solid state detector
- Application of electron beam technology for removal of toxic components from exhaust flue gases, construction of electron accelerators for radiation technologies
- Mass-spectrometry-isotopic analysis of lead and evolution of radiogenic isotopes in the earth
- Ion implantation for modification of material surface properties of materials under ion bombardment
