June 18,2005 – Practical excercises wth the participation of young scientists from INRNE and students from the Physics Department at Sofia University:

· Chemical etching of irradiated CR39 track detectors;

· Electrochemical etching of CR39;

· Iradiation of macrofol detectors using ²⁴¹Am alpha source;

· Electrochemical etching of macrofol;

· Scaning of the etched detectors;

· Comparison of the scanned images with those obtained under a microscope;

· Demonstration of the capabilities of the Image J software in counting TEDs at high-density of the tracks.
